Apina callisto
The pasture day moth is considered only a minor pest of pastures in Australia and larvae generally feed on broad leafed weeds. The larvae grow to approximately 60 mm in size and are dark brown to black with two yellow spots at the posterior end. The pasture day moth only has one generation per year with eggs hatching with the autumn rains and the adult moth emerging from pupation during spring.
