Lehmannia nyctellia
The striped field slug is a minor pest, only occasionally seen in arable crops. However, when present, very high numbers can be found. Crops such as canola are particularly vulnerable to slug damage. This species has three stripes on the mantel and two strips towards the tail. Adults can grow up to 60 mm in length. Individuals tend to aggregate together under rocks and probably live for more than one year. This species is not known to burrow.
