Bluegreen aphids

Research Consultant, Samantha Strano (cesar), has reported bluegreen aphids (Acyrthosiphon kondoi) in an established lucerne paddock near Colac, in the Western district of Victoria. Samantha estimates between 50-100 aphids per m², but no noticeable feeding damage from aphids or any signs of plant viruses. The paddock has loam-clay soil and has not received any insecticide applications this season.
